Good fences (or windows) make good neighbors!

Kobe really wants to be friends and play with the kittens, but he's a little too big! Twerp and Taylor are very interested in meeting their 90-pound farm friend, but we keep Kobe on the leash when we take him outside. I don't think he'd hurt them intentionally, but it's in his nature to chase anything that runs away. Our mousers hold their own against "The Beast" as they arch their backs, hiss, and swipe. Twerp is comfortable enough to let Kobe lick him (although Twerp may not be completely sound of mind). At least T&T provide Kobe with entertainment when he's stuck inside.

"The Best Mousers in the County..."

The newest addition to the farm are two kittens, Twerp and Taylor. They are honing their hunting skills by continously attacking each other and exploring their surroundings. According to their former owner, they're "The best mousers in the county." So far, they haven't caught any mice, but hopefully they'll figure out their job when they get older.

The cutest kittens ever! Twerp (on the left) and Taylor strike a cute pose.

You Never Know Who May Be Watching...

This stray cat was observing Kobe and myself during our daily walk. I never would have seen the cat, but I climbed up on a rock in the riding arena to look at the view. That's when I spied a pair of eyes and furry ears peering at us from the old cattle chute. We got within five feet of the cat and Kobe didn't even notice him/her. After snapping a couple of photos, we continued on our walk.

Out on Patrol...

The Official Farm Dog, Kobe, comes along for the daily farm patrol. Here he is pictured in his favorite field to run in. He's enjoying the short grass while he can-next summer this pasture will be a hay field again. He especially enjoys sniffing new smells, bolting after any cats, and tracking down the deer.
